BADKLAAT was first introduced to N-TYPE back in 2010, when old friends F-ONE and JJ LOUIS sent the Dubplate of ALIENS - EXTERMINATE exclusive. N-TYPE championed this dub and the reaction in the raves was insane. DUB STAR RECORDS had a sound and head honcho F-ONE then introduced several of his favorite producers to N-TYPE, BADKLAAT was one of them, his talent shone through. Since then BADKLAAT has made a huge career for himself notably in the heavy Dubstep scene with signings to DUB POLICE, NEVER SAY DIE, BASSCLASH and deeper drops on DUPLOC with REQUAKE. ‘STAY DOWN’ drops heavy in the dance! The crackling vinyl intro leads to the aggressive vocal stabs (which wouldn’t be unusual to here in the streets of South London) building the atmosphere to the drop. Then the huge distorted bass line drops on the off, giving a ‘pause for the cause’ effect and leading on to a dance floor rinse out. This is high energy but minimal and effective. This quickly became on of the main tracks for reload at UK Outlook festival. We send shouts to BADKLAAT showing off his skill for making different Dimensions of the Dubstep sound, welcome to the family.
